In building a more inclusive and diverse ecosystem, harnessing the potential of students and future entrepreneurs is vital. We are proud to have been part of this journey of students from the Middle East and Asia as they delved into the world of entrepreneurship, and it was inspiring to work with the 10 teams from eight countries to help unlock their tremendous potential.
Powered by womena and organized by United Arab Emirates University’s Science and Innovation Park in partnership with Asian Universities Alliance, the immersive Challenge for Innovation bootcamp helped take simple business ideas and turn them into functioning startups with clear go-to-market strategies. With the help of mentors, students learned about market validation, business modeling and prototype building and then went on to pitch their innovative businesses at the demo day competition.
Beyond learning about entrepreneurship, students got to spend a week learning about each other and about different cultures, and sharing knowledge and experiences that gave them a more global entrepreneurial mindset.
